FlightDecide ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FlightDecide mobile application ("App") and related services ("Service").
Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely as a hash). We may also collect a display name if you choose to provide one.

We collect anonymized data about how you use the App, including features accessed, analysis counts, and error logs. This data helps us improve the Service. Usage analytics do not include your specific flight routes or personal information.
We collect basic device information including iOS version, device model, and app version for diagnostic and support purposes.
Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment card details.

No security system is perfect. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
FlightDecide integrates with the following third-party services:
Your flight data is sent to Anthropic's API to generate narrative briefings. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data. We send only the data necessary to generate your analysis.
We query the FAA's Aviation Weather Center APIs to retrieve METARs, TAFs, SIGMETs, and PIREPs. These requests may include your departure and destination airport codes.
We query FAA data services for NOTAMs and airspace information. Airport identifiers from your flight plan are included in these requests.
Apple handles all in-app purchases and subscription billing. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of payment and purchase data.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@flightdecide.app. We will respond within 30 days. Account deletion can also be initiated from within the App settings.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Flight analysis history is retained for up to 12 months to support the history feature. Usage analytics are retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance purposes.
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Users between 13 and 18 should use the App only with parental consent.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including Canada and the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, by in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
